Maddie Grey
Soprano/Alto
Maddie is from New Jersey, where she grew up playing flute and fulfilling the role of local band kid wherever she could, participating in any and every ensemble she was allowed to be a part of. She even stumbled her way into the All-National Concert Band once! But her biggest love was marching band, and when she got to marching band-less Vassar College, she had to find a way to fill the void. So she joined a cappella! And she fell in love with it.
For roughly two years she sang with Vassar’s Broadway and More a cappella group (BAM for short) and was the music director for half of that time, trying her hand at arranging and discovering a new love for that too. And then she transferred to Connecticut College where she joined Vox Cameli! There she continued arranging and served as the music director for a year until graduating in 2018 with a degree in Music & Technology. Since then, she has been pursuing audio production and design and is very excited to now be a part of Vox Pop!
When she’s not doing something related to a cappella, she’s probably practicing web development, watching 45-minute long video essays on Youtube, or playing video games. She is always eager to talk about the latest episode of Survivor with you or play copious amounts of board and card games!
