Tenor
Mike was born in Berlin, Germany, where his parents were stationed. He and his siblings grew up living all over the world, an experience which afforded him some unusual musical opportunities. For example, he is the only member of Vox Pop to have sung soprano in an English boys' choir. Upon returning to the States for high school, Mike was involved in chorus, madrigals, show choir, barbershop, and school and community musical theatre.
In college, he found love in a cappella -- literally. He sang with the Gentlemen of the College and served as the Musical Director of the Christopher Wren Singers, where he met his wife, Loren. He also directed Quarter Life Crisis, a Los Angeles-based co-ed pop a cappella group.
When he can get away from his job on Capitol Hill, Mike enjoys arranging music, golfing, cooking, and spending time with his beautiful daughter, Julia.
