Kevin M. Zarcone

President/Tenor

Kevin grew up singing anything his mother could accompany him on the piano in the rural farmland of Wisconsin. For a while though, that only included "Rainbow Connection" from the Muppets. Luckily, he was introduced to The Nylons in high school. Making girls swoon while he and his three other friends sang "Kiss Him Goodbye" was enough to get him hooked. Kevin went on to study music, earning a BA in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.

The past 10 years in the DC area has allowed Kevin to wear many hats. He joined Vox Pop in 2003. He was a staff member of The Choral Arts Society of Washington for 5 years and recently sang with them during the 2009 fall season on stage at The Kennedy Center. Currently, Kevin works as an auditor with a CPA firm in Bethesda, MD. As an actor in numerous community musical theatre groups, most notably Kensington Arts Theatre, he met his trophy wife Cindy. Nowadays, he enjoys playing the role of husband and father in Frederick, MD.

Favorite vocal groups include The Nylons, Rockappella, The King's Singers and Chanticleer. And if he could put Bobby McFerrin in as a group, he would. Workshops with McFerrin, and Chanticleer are among the musical highlights of his life. Also notable is a European performance of Verdi's "Requiem" at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, Austria and being a part of the televised performance of “A Capitol 4th,” singing with The National Symphony Orchestra on the west lawn of the Capitol building during the 4th of July celebration in 2007.
