Vocal Percussion

Chris was born and raised in Orlando, Florida.  Like most central Floridians, he has worked for that infamous steamboat driving mouse. Chris attended Florida State University majoring in classical saxophone, but his true love was vocal percussion. After being pestered by a friend to go see an a cappella group ridiculously named All-Night Yahtzee, he fell in love. He’s been “percussing” ever since, performing with The Florida Statesmen (defunct), The Acabelles (all-girls…that’s a great story) and All-Night Yahztee. All-Night Yahtzee went to ICCA three times during his time in the group and Chris was awarded the “Hot Lips” best vocal percussion award at each show.

After college Chris won a job as a navy saxophonist and was stationed in Naples, Italy with the 6th fleet navy band. By day, he repairs musical instruments in Maryland, however, by night he’s a proud member of Vox Populi!
